1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Reseller Bazzar ("we", "us", "our", or the "Platform"), operated from India, collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects information you provide when you access or use our website (www.resellerbazzar.in) and related services, including our buyer-seller marketplace, in-app chat, Request-for-Quote (RFQ) broadcast, wishlist, saved searches, bulk product upload, lead notifications, and referral programme (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy and our Terms & Conditions. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 ("IT Act"), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("IT Rules 2021"), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") to the extent applicable.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information. When you register, we collect your full name, email address, mobile number, password (stored as a one-way hash), user-type (Reseller, Manufacturer, Wholesaler, Broker, or Buyer), and your referral code (if any).
2.2 Business & Listing Information. If you list a business or product, we collect business name, category, address, city, state, ZIP code, business logo and images, product name, description, brand, price, keywords, and product photographs.
2.3 Enquiry, RFQ & Chat Data. When you submit an enquiry, post a Request for Quote, or chat with another user via our in-app messenger, we store the contents of those messages, the sender, the recipient, and timestamps, so the conversation is searchable from your dashboard.
2.4 Device & Log Information. We automatically receive your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps via cookies and server logs.
2.5 Location Information. If you choose to share location via your browser/device, we use it to suggest nearby listings and verify city/state. You can disable this at any time from your device settings.
2.6 Transactional Data. When you purchase a plan or promotion via Razorpay, we receive a payment confirmation token (we do not store your card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials).
2.7 Referral & Wallet Data. Successful referrals are tracked against your account to compute your tier (Bronze / Silver / Gold / Platinum) and credit your in-platform wallet.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account, authenticate logins, and send OTPs.
- To display your listings and storefront publicly so that buyers can discover them.
- To match buyer enquiries and RFQs with relevant sellers using category, location, plan tier and profile completeness.
- To deliver lead notifications, daily saved-search digests, refresh reminders, and quote alerts via email and, where you opt in, WhatsApp.
- To enable in-app messaging between buyers and sellers, including delivery and read receipts.
- To compute analytics shown only to you on your seller dashboard (views, enquiries, contacts, deals).
- To process plan/promotion payments through PCI-DSS-compliant gateways.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and spam, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on one or more of the following grounds, as applicable: (a) your consent, given at signup and at each opt-in checkbox; (b) performance of our contract with you (e.g., delivering matched leads); (c) compliance with legal obligations; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only in these scenarios:
- With other users — Your name, business name, city, state, listing details, and the phone number you choose to expose are visible to buyers/sellers as part of the marketplace function.
- With service providers — Razorpay (payments), Gmail SMTP / nodemailer (email), Firebase (image storage), and our hosting provider — all bound by confidentiality.
- With law enforcement — Where required by a valid court order, government request, or to comply with the IT Act, IT Rules 2021, or other applicable law.
- On business transfer — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may be transferred subject to this Policy continuing to apply.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve search results. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Platform (e.g., login, wishlist) may not work as expected.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Chat history is retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required by law. Account-deletion requests are honoured within 30 days, subject to legal-hold requirements.
8. Security Practices
We implement reasonable security practices and procedures in line with the SPDI Rules, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.2+), bcrypt password hashing, role-based access controls, application-layer rate limiting, request timeouts, helmet HTTP security headers, and audit logging. No system is fully impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access, review, and correct your personal information from your profile dashboard.
- Delete listings, wishlist items, saved searches, RFQs, and conversations at any time.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails, WhatsApp notifications, or saved-search digests (turn off in the relevant settings).
- Request a copy of your data or request account deletion by emailing support@resellerbazzar.in.
- Lodge a complaint with the Grievance Officer (see Section 13).
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact our Grievance Officer for prompt deletion.
11. Reporting Stolen or Unlawful Listings
If you suspect a listing involves a stolen vehicle, stolen mobile, counterfeit goods, or otherwise unlawful items, please report it using the "Report" button on the listing or email us with: the listing URL, the IMEI / VIN / serial number (if applicable), brand, model, registration number, photographs, and any FIR or police complaint number. We will investigate every report and cooperate with law-enforcement authorities as required under the IT Rules 2021.
12. Cross-Border Transfers
Our servers are hosted in India. Where we use overseas service providers (e.g., Firebase storage), transfers are protected by contractual safeguards consistent with the DPDP Act.

14. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
