At Reseller Bazzar, your safety is our top priority. While we strive to provide a secure platform, it's important to stay vigilant. Follow these essential safety tips to ensure a smooth and secure buying experience.

Avoid Upfront Payments

Never pay via UPI, bank transfer, or wallets before receiving the item. Scammers often ask for advance payments for "booking" or "courier charges."

Insist on COD or Delivery

Verify the product physically before paying. If available, use Cash on Delivery (COD) services or insured delivery options.

Check Seller Ratings

Always check the seller's profile, ratings, and reviews from other buyers. Avoid sellers with no history or suspicious behavior.

Meet in Public Places

When meeting a seller, choose a safe, busy public location like a mall or cafe. Avoid secluded areas or inviting strangers to your home.

Common Warning Signs

Be cautious if a seller:

Insists on immediate payment via QR code or fake banking links.
Offers a price that is "too good to be true."
Refuses to meet in person or provide clear product photos.
Communicates only via WhatsApp or external apps and avoids the platform chat.
Asks for your OTP, login password, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials.
Has no business profile, no listings, or a brand-new account.
Asks you to pay through cryptocurrency, gift cards or international wire transfers.

New Safety Features on Reseller Bazzar (2026)

In-App Chat — Every message between you and a seller is logged on Reseller Bazzar. If a dispute arises, we can review the full conversation. Avoid moving the chat to WhatsApp until you've confirmed the seller's identity.
Verified Seller Badge — Look for the green "Verified" tick on the seller's profile. Verified sellers have completed phone & business-document verification.
Request for Quote (RFQ) — For bulk or expensive purchases, post an RFQ. We broadcast it to up to 10 verified sellers in your category. Compare price, delivery time and ratings before choosing.
Wishlist & Saved Search — Save items and get a daily digest of new matches instead of clicking on copycat listings flashed by scammers.
Report Button — Every listing has a report link that triggers a 36-hour review by our team (per IT Rules 2021).

What Reseller Bazzar Will Never Do

Ask for your OTP, password, UPI PIN, or card CVV — for any reason.
Demand payment outside Razorpay for platform plans or promotions.
Call you to "verify" your KYC and ask for screen-share or remote access.

Buyer safety — FAQs

How do I know if a seller is trustworthy?: Check the verified badge on their business profile, read past buyer reviews, and confirm their physical address. Verified sellers display a green tick next to their name.
What payment methods are safest?: Cash on inspection or UPI to a verified business account. Never wire money before seeing the item. Avoid gift cards or crypto requests — those are scam signals.
Should I ever share my OTP?: No. Reseller Bazzar will never ask for your OTP. Anyone requesting your OTP is attempting fraud — report them via the Help page.
What should I do if I suspect a scam?: Stop the conversation, screenshot the chat, and report it at /information/security-scam-alert. Our team reviews reports within 24 hours.
Can I inspect a product before buying?: Yes. Always inspect high-value items in person before paying. Most sellers welcome a visit — it builds trust both ways.
