Plain-English definitions of the marketplace and reselling terms you'll see across Reseller Bazzar — so buyers and sellers always know exactly what a word means.
Terms A–Z
- Marketplace
- An online platform where many independent sellers list products or services and buyers discover and contact them. Reseller Bazzar is a discovery-and-direct-connect marketplace — it does not process the sale or take commission.
- MSME
- Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise — the category of Indian businesses Reseller Bazzar is built for.
- B2B
- Business-to-business — transactions where the buyer is another business (e.g. a retailer buying from a wholesaler).
- B2C
- Business-to-consumer — transactions where the buyer is an end customer.
- Reseller
- A business that buys stock from manufacturers or wholesalers and resells it, often locally or online.
- Wholesaler
- A business that sells goods in bulk to other businesses at lower per-unit prices.
- Manufacturer
- A business that produces goods directly and can offer factory-direct pricing and custom orders.
- Distributor
- A business authorised to supply a brand's products to retailers and resellers within a region.
- Broker
- An intermediary who connects buyers and sellers and helps source or negotiate deals.
- Listing
- A single product or service a seller publishes, shown on its own page at /product/{slug}.
- Business profile
- A seller's public page with category, city, contact, photos and description, at /business/{slug}.
- RFQ (Request for Quote)
- A buyer posts a requirement and matching sellers respond with price quotes. Public landing: /rfq.
- Lead
- A buyer enquiry delivered to a seller. Plans include a monthly lead quota.
- Verified / Trusted seller
- A badge shown on sellers who have completed business and product verification, signalling higher trust to buyers.
- Promotion / Boost
- An optional paid feature that increases a listing's visibility (e.g. category sponsorship or a homepage carousel spot).
- Featured product
- A listing given extra prominence as part of a promotion plan.
- Category & sub-category
- The taxonomy used to organise listings (e.g. Electronics › Mobiles) so buyers can browse by need.
- Local discovery
- Finding sellers by city, so buyers can transact with nearby businesses (e.g. /city/mumbai).
- OTP
- One-Time Password used to verify a mobile number at sign-up. Reseller Bazzar never asks for your OTP after that — anyone who does is attempting fraud.
- Cash on inspection
- Paying only after seeing and checking the item in person — the safest option for high-value local deals.
